Head of Ecommerce

Our client is a leading global, reputable and ambitious eCommerce / retailer. They are on the lookout for a Head of eCommerce to really drive their eCommerce channels for growth and success. In this position you will be across devising the eCommerce strategy, CRO, merchandising / trading the website, product management, app, execution of campaigns, customer journey, CX and on-site search.

To be successful in this position you must have proven success in generating revenue and driving sales / conversions. This is a permanent, full-time role working in a hybrid environment (2 days office, 3 days remote).

You will have the following skill-set:

  • Extensive experience in a Head of eCommerce or Senior eCommerce Manager position (working client-side for an eCommerce/retailer)

  • Highly proficient across eCommerce strategy and execution, including managing the day-to-day operations of our ecommerce platforms, including product management, content updates, and trade optimisation.

  • Manage the planning and execution of the trade calendar, ensuring promotions are successfully launched onsite.

  • Ability to inspire, lead and empower teams to deliver

  • Proven ability to drive significant eCommerce conversions (must have strong CRO, trading / merchandising background)

  • Product management, UX, UI and app (research only) experience

  • Utilise tools and methodologies like A/B testing, user experience analysis, and customer journey mapping to enhance website performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Campaign execution

  • Monitor and analyse performance of ecommerce platforms, proactively identify opportunities for improvement across marketing channels and platforms to ensure forecasts are met.

  • Driving customer journeys, CX

  • On-site search

  • Understand operational requirements including back-end systems integrating product information management, store data, inventory, dispatch and delivery partner capabilities.

  • Ability to continually innovate, think strategically, be hands-on and orchestrate team members

  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
