About the Role

As the Project Manager (Product and Marketing), you will be the central conduit between procurement, product development, marketing and C-Suite teams. You will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring products are developed, launched and marketed effectively. Your role will involve maintaining accountability across teams, managing timelines, and translating complex product information / briefs into easily translatable marketing strategies / briefs.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Management:

  • Oversee the entire product development cycle, ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, marketing and leadership teams.

  • Manage projects using project management tools, maintaining accountability and meeting all deadlines.

  • Facilitate regular updates, meetings, and checkpoints to track progress and address challenges.

Product Launch Briefing:

  • You will be the go-to person and primary source for the marketing team for anything related to product. You will develop and deliver clear, actionable product briefs for marketing campaigns.

  • Ensure briefs align with product strategy and are translatable into impactful marketing campaigns.

Centralise Product Information:

  • Act as the central hub for product data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms.

  • Collaborate with product development teams to clarify technical details and maintain up-to-date information.

Support Marketing Campaigns:

  • Provide timely product information to the marketing team to support the development of marketing materials.

  • Ensure all marketing assets align with product objectives and market opportunities.

  • Be the support to the marketing team for all product-related data and information during campaign development.

Accountability & Leadership:

  • Proactively hold cross-functional teams accountable for meeting objectives and timelines.

  • Confidently manage decision-making processes, ensuring collective alignment.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have a marketing background and have now pivoted into a project manager role.

  • 4+ years’ experience in project management, product marketing, or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment with D2C in-house brands within eCommerce/retail (preferably across industries such as wellness, beauty, home cleaning, activewear, home appliances, electronics and vehicles/automotive).

  • Experience working with procurement, product, marketing teams and senior leadership to ensure timely execution of new product launches and campaigns.

  • Demonstrated success in managing product lifecycles and launching new products (end-to-end)

  • Proficiency in project management tools, preferably ClickUp.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple timelines and ensure accountability between all stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information from product teams to marketing messages.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structure.

  • Experience liaising with procurement and marketing teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or related field.
